The Three Bricklayers
I would like to open this edition of #motivationalmonday with a short story I read last week on Forbes…
Once upon a time, a traveler came upon three bricklayers.
When asked by the traveler, “What are you doing?” the first bricklayer replied, “I’m laying bricks.”
Asked the same question, the second bricklayer answered, “I’m putting up a wall.”
The third bricklayer considered the query and responded with pride in his voice, “I’m building a cathedral.”
This story underscores two elements, crucial for your career growth: perspective and mindset. Your perspective is the lens by which you view yourself, your career, and the world. Your mindset is the compass helping you choose the right way to get to your goals.
With the right perspective and mindset you can achieve anything in life.
Let's see the example of Grant Cardone...
He says: "When I was younger, I was a drug addict. I had become a cause of concern for everyone who loved me and a disappointment to so many who wanted to believe in me. I was broke and broken— financially, emotionally, spiritually, and even physically. Just after i reached the bottom I decided to change my perspective and my mindset. I turned my obsession to my success - now I've written 7 books with a New York Times best-seller, own 5 successful businesses with annual revenue over $100m and have over $500m in real estate - THAT'S my obsession. If I was able to change, everybody can."
So let’s start this monday and the whole week with the right mindset and perspective.
Brick by brick you can build a Cathedral...
